Today is the day (actually yesterday) that I found out that I was babying my truck....

Normal mulch run for me...

While at Menards this weekend, I saw this Ford....

I have room for 12 more bags next time.

Bruce...

Update on the battery situation...I decided take the easy way out. I bought the largest deep cycle flooded battery Sam's had that would fit in my box. We don't boondock, and we're hoping to replace this RV in the next couple years, so decided to cheap out and get what would work. The original battery lasted nearly 7 years (I know...shocker), so if I can get a few out of this one, I'll call it success.

Those mulch runs make me glad I invested in my trailer Bruce! Although, the picking it up is the easy part. The spreading... Ugh...

Good work Tom. I likely would do the same if it's working for you. The old "Don't mess with success" line comes to mind...

Well Michael wound up taking both Becky and I down with hand, foot and mouth. Having a family sick day today. Yesterday I could barely get off the couch. We're all feeling a bit better today.

I have a gravity fill on the FW tank and just get to dump the bleach in. This year I intend to use the outside shower to fill my hoses and filter housings with bleach water also. Then flush and install the new filters.

The dump trailer makes bulk mulch easy to get. Still sucks that you need to shovel it wether you dump it or not. For me, I like that I can leave it in the trailer until I get to it, without it being on the ground. We will probably mulch memorial day weekend. I still have the better part of a yard of topsoil in the trailer yet for patching my 7 remaining stump holes. Luckily those are all small and should go fast.

That's quite the fleet of Ferds Chris!

Sucks that the little guy shared Scott. This was the first year we have been blessed with Elyse having a decent immune system. The last two were BRUTAL. Two bouts of pneumonia for Maryann because Elyse brought home so many bugs. He lungs are actually scarred from it. I was lucky enough to only have bronchitis twice. Thanks preschool....

The first truck I can remember going camping in was a 1978 F250 351. It was a super cab, long bed. Ten years of my life in that with my stepdad at the wheel and cherry bombs for exhaust. I can remember everything about it like it was yesterday.

The wifes sister and her husband had a mid 70's Ford 250 with a slide in. Went on a hunting trip with brother in law once and the bunk felt like I was in a coffin!!

You can't trust those chreasters. They probably only change their oil every 10K miles.

We first had a 25 foot Mossberg. Yes, they made RV's and shotguns... Then we moved up to a 31' Holiday Traveler. It was good living!
