I went to install my Camco propane cover today and found that none of the hardware or the top lid were included. Basically all that was in the box was the front and back panels. Email sent to Camco. I have a few days yet to return it to Amazon. I hope they can just send the missing parts.
My house water is good enough that I'm not going to filter it. I do have the blue filter to use for alternate sources.

I read a long article about the need to sanitize recently. Long story short, it said that if you are always on a municipal water supply that is chlorinated, there is no need to sanitize... unless... you winterize or don't use your rig for an extended period of time. Which is most of us. Monty could definitely skip it with his year round camping schedule without worry but I know he won't... For some reason, I still can't get motivated to sanitize. Maryann and Elyse always drink bottled water and I drink from the tap and am still alive. It might explain a few things but still alive... LOL
Roy, you'll love the brakes. They will help stop the truck instead of the other way around!

I sanitize the fw tank every spring. Goes pretty quick. Mix a strong bleach solution into my 5 gallon water jug, suck it into the fresh water tank, top off with water, pump it through all fixtures and let it sit for a few hours, then drain and flush the lines.
We don't do bottled water at all, unless you count vodka tonics on the beach bottled...hahaha. Seriously we do drink water from the trailer tap all the time.

How are you sucking water into your fresh tank Dave? Mine isn't plumbed in a way you can do that. What I've done in the past when I was still a sanitizer guy, was to partially fill my tanks, pour the correct amount of bleach through a funnel into my hose, reconnect and continue filling. Then make sure to pull the trailer forward and hit the brakes a couple times to ensure that the solution splashes up to the top of the tanks.
My Cardinal doesn't have gravity fill. I can either powerfill from hose, or siphon to the tank using onboard water pump from Fw inlet. Those valve settings on my waterbay are actually labelled sanitize, and is also how I refill the fw tank when not on full hookup.
I'm not a freak about sanitizing. It's mostly to make sure there was nothing green growing in fw tank from sitting for 6 months.

I don't dry camp much anymore but when I did have a long trip back in 2015 where I used the entire 150 gallons in my tanks, I filled a 5 gallon jug and placed it in my docking station area. Then I dropped my winterize tube into it and turned the valve to winterize. The pump drew from the 5 gallon jug like it would from an antifreeze gallon. We were 12 hours from leaving so this was doable. Haven't needed to do it again.
