Today’s the day that installed my new (to me) 1963 Southbend heavy 10 lathe.
Had to hang it from a tree limb to get it out of the truck.
Then I grabbed it with my tractor fork lift attachment.
Yesterday I finally found time time to install 4’ LED lights in my pole shed. This was long overdue.
I’m surprised at how much light they provide.

You can thank me later

Today is the day (MLKjr is a day off for me) that I purchased 8 bottles of PM22 ($8.99 each) and one bottle of anti-gel PM23 from my dealer. This must mean that I intend to drive a 6.7L for at least 40 tanks of fuel and our cold weather is only going to last 5 more tanks of fuel. Early spring!
Red and Black Raptor at my dealer. Lot is loaded with low dollar F150s and a good number of F250/F350. One F450 in black, out front, pretty truck.

i was just purusing the local Ford dealership website that I bought my last two from. I don't understand....three 2018 F350 6.7L's, one platinum, one a Lariat, and an XLT, all have the 10,900 GVWR??? they used to have a button to display the window sticker, and that is gone. Maybe their data entry person made a typo...
Yep, on the 6.7 SRW 350 trucks, the de-rate is either 11.4k or 10k.
I was just at a dealer today too. Wife says Expy and Tahoe too big. Tried an Explorer Platinum. Couldn't be less impressed. The ride was bad and the steering wheel wouldn't stay centered. Felt HUGE too for it's size. However, the back seat with the Pano roof was really low. I had to tip my head sideways to sit there. So, today we stopped into a Jeep dealer. We were both VERY impressed with the current gen Grand Cherokee. The driving experience felt small and agile and the interior felt big. Like her X5 on both fronts. I'd say the seats and seating position were both a hair more comfortable than the X5. Road noise was up but that's to be expected for 25 grand less. I think we have a winner. Got the X5 sold to family so it will be an easy swap out in the spring and will help fund clearing the land with the difference. Win win...

Aside from a Wrangler (which is fun and looks great but not fun to drive every day), the only other "Jeep" I'd consider is the Grand. It's built on the bones of an old Mercedes ML350, but that's still a better platform than most. It's a dated vehicle but still looks pretty good, can be had with a great 4x4 system, and is reasonably nice inside...all at a pretty good price. Which trim level and engine are you considering?
Overland 5.7L is definitely the one I'd get, although I'd consider the EcoDiesel engine. Much slower, but great mpg and "something different."
