That's even better! That may have been available when I bought, but I didn't look past the 60 month since my tractor was on the low priced side of things. Free money for 84 would be great for something more expensive.

72 months requires a 10% down payment. 84 requires 20%. I think if I do it (and go team orange), I'll give them the 20%, and go for the 84 months. I hate payments but at 0% it's hard to say no. Keeps cash on hand for building overruns too.

The good boys here will help all they can with the overruns, last second great ideas, while you are doing it, might as wells, and did you remember to do... Lots of great life experiences here that need to be shared.

I have 5 bucks for you too Rodney. It will be in the form of a commission check for all the crap you made ME buy though.

I didn't realize there were down payment requirements for the longer term loans, but still, you can't argue with free money. I was able to do $0 down and 0% for 60 months. Those numbers worked very nicely with my budget, and considering that prior to that, I didn't even think I could afford a tractor and implements, I'm glad they were advertising their deals during the morning news.

I could do 0% with 0 down too for 5. I just thought the longer term would be worth it for the lower monthly payment. I'd likely get irritated and pay it off sooner though.

Even though it is costing me nothing to finance, I will likely also pay off early, just to get rid of the note. I know it's not necessarily the best decision, but I don't like having stuff like that over my head.

Started some repairs to my swamp today. This pipe has been messed up since the neighbors trash guy tossed his tote in the ditch during a bad storm a few years back. It sat about 2" above grade after the water jammed the can against it and lifted it out of the ground. Yesterday I found it only went to the edge of his driveway and then went into concrete pipe, so today I dug it up, pulled it out, lowered it and reburied. What a mess. Next step is to move my gutter and sump pump drain to dump directly into the plastic pipe, but this was a huge step. Next huge step will be when I run 200' of pipe and get rid of the stupid ditch completely.

After the pic I went to my parents to grab a big flat rock to put on top of it. Dad has a ton after filling his pond in. Loaded rock, had a beer, went to leave and got the 6.7 Christmas tree when I released the e brake! Low oil pressure, coolant overtemp, mileage disappeared, wrench light, every idot light on the dash lit up. Crawled under the dash and figured the lock out on the e brake connector, unplugged and reinstalled. Fixed. Glad I got that tip from here! Will have to release and tighten pins and move connector sometime.

I'm going to be stuck with taking Deere's 0% for 12 months. Oh well, I don't want to carry the note anyway, just better than dumping 8k all at once.

Sounds like progress on a few fronts Scott. You're lucky you can still dig. Ground is getting fairly solid here. Above freezing during the day but with the nights being a good deal longer than the day...

Been fairly pleasant here the past few days, upper 40s or low 50s. Been mid 20s at night though. That spot is so damn soft all the time. Where the sump pump dumps a boot will sink 8" right now. It has permeated the whole area to the point i need to be very careful or it will suck the tractor in. Trying to keep the (future) zero turn out of the mud, and keep myself from having to wheedwhack the entire ditch all the time.

Spent another day in the woods enjoying our beautiful 70* record breaking weather. Everything changes tomorrow though with some thunderstorms and highs in the 30's and flurries for the weekend.

Looks like cold will be here soon enough
