Yup, that's where it started for sure Gerry. XLR has this problem on many of their fenders. They all come through with indents to show where to screw but no one bothered to pre-drill them before screwing through. After a year or two of flapping in the wind, they start to split from the screw hole out...

Call dealer asap before doing anything. See if they want to inspect damage before you cover it up.

Leave for Maine Friday. There's just no way I can get it there before we go.

I think best case scenario with it being out of warranty, they will authorize the dealer to put some sealer on it. Perhaps I am too much of a skeptic.

Great area Roy. What campground are you in? Is it on or near the water? You're right on the coast there again...

Morning everyone.... Rain here the next three days which is outstanding as we are getting it over with before ME. Hoping to lock in the current forecast for next week...

Slideouts.... love them and hate them (maybe 25/75 ). Pretty tough to make a structurally sound unit after punching giant holes in the side of it. I have some small 1" cracks in the fiberglass skin at the lower corner of one of my slides. If I fix it it'll just return so I seal it.

I used to watch in the mirror as one section of a fender flapped in the wind. I had to JB weld where it cracked around the screw and then I put a metal support behind it to stop it moving.

When we are done with the rain here in Wisconsin, we like to send it your way. Local flooding this morning here. Been raining a lot lately. Farmers must be happy.

I'll second the rainfall in Wisconsin Bruce. Getting kind of ridiculous.

Go ahead and send that rain back here to Colorado. It is dry, dry, dry here. I could spit on my lawn and the grass would fight over it.

Had more than enough rain here too to last the entire year. Lots of crops are flooded out. Must be global warming.

Could be all those liberal tears still flowing from losing the election.
