OK, now that truck projects are out of the way for the foreseeable future, RV projects resume.
First on the list was to install the new MorRyde Step Above. I'm thrilled with the result!! The entire install took 16 minutes - honest. This is soooo easy and the result is amazing. Absolutely solid steps into the 5ver!! No bounce, no shake, no sound - just solid steps!!
Please see the photos in Rodney's post below - up and down.

Rodney, thanks. BTW, I tried to turn those photos to portrait view about five times and then gave up. If you can do it, great. Also, I am ordering the rear step today. We wanted to see how the front one went first. The rear is a no-brainer.

Jim, yes, that is my plan. We really can't use them any longer, so there's no point in hauling the extra weight. However, I'm thinking I'm going to try to get a new piece of plastic skirt first so I can just cover the space where the original steps nest now. It will make the rig look a lot cleaner as well.

Tony just texted me that the 4 place steps he picked up for me are about 1/4" wider than the 3 place they will replace. So, they don't slide nicely into position. I can't imagine why they would make the two set's differently. I guess some finessing is in order when I get them from him. One way or the other, they are going in...
Here's your corrected pics Steve:
PS: I'm sure you checked this but make sure your rear door is the same width as your front and can accommodate the MorRyde steps. Some brands use a narrower door in the garage.

Second, yes, my garage door is a 27" instead of a 30". Like you, I'm not sure why they do that, but it is what it is. MorRyde makes the steps for my rigs' height in three widths, so no problem there. It will be slightly narrower, but essentially the same step.
Also, are you going to the same MorRyde steps I have, or are you converting to conventional four step fold outs? I don't know what you had before.

So I may be biting off way more than is prudent, but I have decided to rip out the existing water entrance panel on our rig and construct a completely new compartment. Here is what the existing entrance looks like. The new one will be 30" by 16" x 8" deep. It will allow water hose to enter from the bottom and will include an adjustable pressure regulator and gauges, winterizing and water heater bypass valves, and a dual canister water filter system.
Here goes nothing. I will either be really happy in Maine, or really p....d off.
