So.... I had the CEL on yesterday for the wastegate code... then I thought I'd stop by the dealer to see what a trade costs.
Can give them my '11 Lariat + 24kCdn for a '16 XLT. I'd probably miss a few things on the Lariat but not a lot of them. The one they have has 4.30 gears and front flares. Is that a widetrack front end? I haven't looked at the yr over yr changes as I had no intention of switching mine out. They also had an F450 Lariat which is 35kCdn difference, don't see 5th prep on the sticker sheet for that one.
Hmmmm........

If the DRW 350 has the 4.30's and fender flairs, it has the wide track front end.
You can add the OEM 5th prep in the form of the Reese Elite. It's more money but if you want a 450... The 15+ 450's are a very different truck than the 14 and down and different from the DRW 350's as well. The problem you might have with a 450 is the Conti HSR tires that come with it if you're back home in CA in the winter. They are known to be awful in the snow so plan on a second set if that's your scenario.

Don't want to be swapping tire sets on a dually. My SIL has a 6.4 F450, not sure what tires they run but they use the same ones all yr. I'll have to ask her.

Got a couple small projects done today. First is, when I bought my keyless entry RVLock for the main door, I went cheap and bought a keyed alike mechanical lock for the second (rear) door. The problem is, when the slides are in, I can't get from the front of the RV to the garage without climbing over the couch. I've become used to not bringing the keys out when going to do something in the RV and when I need to get in the back, I always seem to remember that I need a key as I get to the RV. So, I bought a second, overpriced keyless RVLock for the back door.
Next, my wife's biggest irritant since our RV was new was the table that that came with it that we set up between the drop down dinette when we convert the garage to living space. The table top surface was warped so the folding legs could never sit level. So, one small bump and it would rock and dump your coffee etc. in your lap. I finally got a brainstorm on the last trip and ordered some furniture glides. 5 minutes later and no more rocking. Drill 4 holes, tap in the plastic inserts, thread the feet in and level out the table. $2.97 on Amazon and the wife's favorite mod to date...
