We got about 5" here today too and it's still coming hard. It was an unexpected storm. Yesterday they weren't calling for anything here...
I'd like to have good weather across the midwest for late Mar, that way I can run I40 and then up to get home rather than have to go the I10 route. Until then you guys can have all the snow you want
Yesterday was Doug. Rolled after about 9.5 hours on the road. Just amazing scenery on the way in skirting the St. Lawrence Seaway. Got to the "manor" and unloaded the sleds into the heated, underground, secure parking. Maryann was told that since they were slow we got a free room upgrade to the second from best they have. 4th floor facing the Seaway with a personal hot tub room looking out. Got our registrations and did a quick 50 miles today. Going to try the Jacuzzi now, have some wine, and hit the casino across the parking lot for some cheap slot machine fun. A guy could get used to this. Here's a few shots or the room and view.
Thanks buddy. Going for a large northern loop today. Yesterday we tried to stay in smaller local loops and get a feel for the trail system and signage. It was bit of a mistake with spotty grooming and lots of city riding / road crossings. Where we are going today is huge with hours of straight riding without seeing a house, road, or any sign of human life other than more sleds. Should be great as long as the groomers have done their thing. Pics and stories tonight if there is anything worth sharing...
