Today is the day........
I don't think things generally go this fast David. Most houses I see go up in the area are 9 months to a year from clearing the lot to completion. My situation in the RV makes me push a lot harder to keep things on (or ahead of) schedule. I was also VERY lucky to sell our last house when we did and get on all the contractors schedules early. Many that we had/have are now booked for the rest of the year.
Ive been in construction all my life, since the advent of smart phones ive grown to hate it. Rodney is smoking his schedule, moving along at a blazing pace. I build restaurants primarily so my knowledge is limited when it comes to residential. Good looking house rodney!!
getting away for a few days , i cant afford one so the least i can do is watch!

Rodney, some great progress going there. Looks very nice bud!
Been a while since I signed in or posted, just got back from our 3rd trip of the year. Nearly melted in Delaware the past 5 days! Spent a lot of time in the water. Had some good and bad with the camper. Day 1 one of the rivets on the front top step broke. Went to Ace, got a 3/8 SS bolt and locknut, better than new. Grabbed a few extra bolts for the inevitable next time too. Had a violent storm come through last night, and looked up at bathroom vent to find cover missing this morning. Turns out the wind must have just ripped it off, it was so brittle when I tried to get the rest off it just crumbled in my hands. It was a smoke cover, because the a/c's are black, but black just made the bathroom too dark. I had noticed it was severely faded but didn't expect it to crumble, especially at 2x the price of a black or white one!
Good news was with both a/c's going and a fan in the garage doorway, even in full sun with a temp of 97 and dewpoint around 78 we came back to 71 inside! Could not believe it. But the non ducted unit in the garage really helps since the air doesn't go through the hot attic. Brutal rain last night and no leaks either. Really going to cringe when this thing goes down the road at the end of the year!
That said, I need some help from Monty.............I know you use a front hitch, t bar, and one roof crossbar for your kayaks. Do you use the standard angled kayak holders or just strap them (kayaks) to the bars? And if you could post a pic I'd be very grateful. I know they are out there but could be buried so deep in here! We took the kayaks this trip and now that Michael sleeps on the happijac beds, having all our storage in his bedroom is getting old. I'm going to start prepping the truck for the new, non toyhauler trailer now to lighten the burden once the new trailer is here.

Good evening all. Sorry for being a poor OP. Been killing myself at the house every day and it's been in the 90's for heat and humidity. At night, I'm cooked... House is coming along nicely. HVAC getting wrapped 90% this week. Insulation almost done. Drywall starting Fri or Mon. Well and septic get finished soon and then we can move up there and live on site. Not many new pics but here's a finished shot of the barn.
