Today is the day........
Congrats on being homeless (that's a good thing, right?) and good luck on the build!
Can't accelerate the frost in the ground melting so it is what it is. Once the ground is at a point where we can dig, progress begins. We are under contract now and will close on this house April 15th so we'll be in the RV starting the weekend before. I installed the electric at mom's today. Water is ready. Just have to have a tank brought in for sewage. We'll have our household belongings in a garage right next to the RV so if we need anything, it's right there. Once the house and barn are sticked up, temporary electric in, and the driveway graveled, we'll transition up to the building site to live. It's going to be a zoo of a year for sure. Excited and terrified all at once.
We'll all enjoy living vicariously through you Rodney.
Congrats on the sale bud! And even better it sets you up to build your dream home!
We are going to head to the greater Philly rv show tomorrow. Never been to it, but just going to wander. Also talked to a contractor today about a patio estimate. He'll stop by next Sat to check it out and start getting some numbers! Excited for that project to get going (done) lol.

Good news for both Rodney and Roy!
RV show went well, kiddo did a really good job but was kind of a bust on the mid bunk units. 3 units in the whole place, one had a L/S dinette which I don't want. So that left 2, the Shasta Phoenix 360BH, and a Palomino Columbus 377MB. Becky was in love with the Columbus, until we started fooling with the couch in the bunk room. What a POS! Sucked to sit on and awful as a bed, handful to unfold. Pretty lame for a trailer with an 81k MSRP. I had a few other issues with it, the range is mounted really low and even if you cover it up, it's still about 6" lower than it should be. She's a big girl at 43' long, really bigger than I want, but the 101" width does really open the inside up over the 96" units, most notable in the hallway.
The Shasta had a few nice touches for its price point like a ceiling fan, but also had a few misses. The kitchen island was set up as a bar with 2 stools that sat under it, taking a lot of storage away. Love the bunk room setup though, 4' slide with two bunks that are perpendicular to the trailer. The room still has ample floor space with the bunks, but it's a bedroom and nothing more. This is nice as this trailer is only (lol) 39'.
Both units had ceiling fans which is a nice touch. Neither had the outside fridge of the Grand Design 367BHS. We plan to keep this next one 10 years. I want the Grand Design with a ceiling fan, the Shasta bunk house and the 101" width of Columbus! I still believe the 367BHS is the best compromise at this point. I did talk for quite a bit with the KZ dealer, they have a nice option in both the KZ durango and the Open Range, but I'm leery to step over to Thor.

Sounds like some nice trailers.
I sold our Arctic Fox 990 and have made the deal on the Host Rainier 9.5. Not going any longer but the new camper will have two slides and the bed is a lot easier to get into and out of. I need pay the down payment and sign the build sheet and get it started.

Our previous Flagstaff had a ceiling fan, but our new Reflection didn't even have it as an option, at nearly twice the price of the Flagstaff. But, really, I think we had the ceiling fan on a handful of times in 8 summers of use, so I don't think we'll miss it.
I spent probably 2 years or more looking at every single floor plan out there to find what we were looking for. The Reflection 311BHS was the ONLY one that checked all of our boxes. The couch in the bunk is likely similar to the one you mentioned...it sucks! But, that's a compromise we made to get everything else we wanted, and we could change it out if necessary.
Enjoy shopping...it's funner than writing the check!
