That's OK. I am going to install 35x12.5x18 BFG AT KO2 tires. I've had them before on my 2016, and although there are plenty of downsides...I really like the look.
Just admit it, you cant keep your foot off the fun pedal

Lol, might have happened. My tire guy says it's a combination of my frequent towing and diesel torque.

I traded my last truck with them early on, but most guys I know are getting 35-40k out of them.

From what I read, the Toyo AT2s will out last anything as they wear like iron. Guess I'll find out next time around...

Anyways, got the gusset kit for the dump trailer yesterday. Mounted it up today, got some 2X12's cut down to fit, and stained them a blackish color. I like the gusset kit so much more than building sides in the stake pockets. Just enough additional height and easy removal for one person when loading from the front or sides.

Looking good Rodney. Nice fleet of trailers you have there. The added sides definitely improve the functionality of the dump.

Looks good, but surely you could have found some grey stain.

I could have Tom but it would have cost me money. Mixing some old Thompson's water seal with some black oil enamel was free... Plus, it matched the gusset brackets... I didn't want to go the Christmas tree route of green and red like Roy...

Didn't you give someone on here a bunch of reasons why the gusset kit wouldn't work for you a few months back..................?

LOL. Looks good. And the height is just right, I'll second that. I do keep thinking about a way to make a 12x for over the tailgate also for bulky but not heavy stuff. Have some ideas but more important things going on most of the time.

I bailed on the Toyos and will see how the new Coopers hold up. My buddy ran a set of the original AT3's to death on his dually in 45k. Apparently they changed the rubber compound with the new AT3 LT. 55 or 60k rated, so far so good, first tow Friday morning!

Rodney do you have the spare mounted inside out? Offset looks odd?

Did I? I don't remember that. I guess I could go back in the tread and find my logic but I honestly can't remember why I would have said that. What I do remember was I didn't want anything permanent and you told me that everything becomes permanent... which I didn't want... LOL. Spare is right side out. It's a take off from an old Chevy pickup with the same lug pattern. Wider but works.

Maybe there was some wine involved. LOL. Good luck finding that buried in this thread! Honestly I never gave a thought to using the gusset kit and not bolting the 12x's in. Mine were bolted in when i got it and I never gave it a second thought. I guess as long as they don't warp and twist too much it's a good plan.

That's why I went with KD and not PT. PT is such chit... Warps within days of purchase if not bolted down....

i can attest to the toyo At's two sets of them they were about half way worn at 40k.

Your forgetting you can always use your drained crankcase oil for a nice wood finish, cut with a little diesel it makes a beautiful professional sheen. Ha ha ha

looks really nice rodney
