Conversations around Tweels on ZTR forums are similar to delete threads here. Lots of emotion and few experiences or facts.

I have no opinion on them.

I went with the Z540R Rodney. It was hard enough to justify $7800 to mow an acre. I priced the Z915E but just to make that step I was looking at about 10,500 because the powerflow bagger runs 3k. Bigger is always better imo, but on this one it would have just been spending money because I can with no real benefit. I'll dump the extra 3k into my mortgage.

The tweel looks cool. Is it worth the premium price to me? No way. I've never had a flat on the tractor in the 10 years I've been here. For landscapers that mow tons of properties and a flat could put them behind, then maybe there is a benefit.

Polaris tried it on their military ATV's for a while and got rid of them. I'm betting they packed with mud.

It's only good for 4 gallons so I ordered 4 more on my mom's Amazon account too to get double the deal.

As to which is better, I'm completely comfortable with either and noticed no difference between the two. However, I prefer T6 as it gives me commonality between 99% of my engines. Other than my wife's Jeep which has a hemi and won't work with 5W40, everything I own has Rotella T6 in it. Having one oil for everything makes it so easy to do changes as you always have plenty on the shelf. The leftover of a gallon just goes in the next machine. T6 is currently in my Onan generator, JD lawn tractor, both CanAm Spyders, walk behind line trimmer, snowblower, power washer, wood chipper, wood splitter, and truck. I haven't changed the oil in either Polaris yet but will be running T6 in both the General and daughter's new Outlaw when I do the changes this fall.
Thanks for the reply Rodney. I didn’t know about the rebate.

The rebate form link can be found right on Amazon's Rotella T6 page Lee. It's a great deal!

We were up seeing progress of the tree clearing at the land today. Forgot to take pics but coming along nicely. Got to thinking more about a 60" zero turn seeing how big the lawn was going to be. Wife wants one like I got for my mom with a steering wheel. Said she would give it a whirl from time to time if I went that route vs. lap bars. Was thinking this one would do.

Tow/Haul?

I posted this in the camper thread but will try here also. Just wondering how many actually use the tow/haul mode while pulling a camper? With the 6.7 power and torque, it seems that it would not be needed. So just wondering what everyone else does? And I should mention, my camper is under 10,000 lbs. Thanks.

Hey Tony, I always use T/H mode even when towing light. It sets your shift points much better for towing and if you have a 2015+, it works better with your exhaust brake.

Thanks, I have a 2017 F-250SD. Just starting to tow with it. I upgraded to it from 2000 7.3 that I towed with for years. Hadn't really thought about the engine break, I was just thinking about the higher shift points and if they were really needed. Thanks.

They aren't needed when towing light and you won't hurt anything by not engaging T/H. To me though, the truck just seems to perform better in T/H whether towing heavy or light.

Congrats on the 17 6.7 and welcome to FTE and my long winded thread...LOL. Stick around only if you what help emptying your wallet on constant upgrades...

I get that. My wife will never drive my zero turn. She likes her restored two stroke lawn boy though.

Something tells me he has a HUGE set of tires and wheels that aren't rated to tow that trailer so he has to go into clown mode to avoid a blowout while towing... just a guess...

Cub seems to be the only wheel option. Exmark had one for a bit but it looks to be discontinued. It was pretty low down their quality scale too.
