Since its Kentucky, I think he's envisioning you and Doug sitting at the campfire playing "Dueling Banjo's", with Monty passing the moonshine around, watching the movie Deliverance, and is afraaaaiiiiiiidddddd...... Reminds me of a joke.. You know that the toothbrush was invented by a man in Kentucky, right? If it were invented anywhere else, it would have been called a TEETH Brush.
I used to work for IBM back in the 90's, and they transferred me down there for 7 years, before we came back to Michigan. I'm allowed to poke fun. In fact, my youngest daughter was born there.

It was a battle for sure! But I won! Still working on a final soap wash but she is scrubbed and looking pretty. Long overdue but life got in the way.
The losing battle I'm fighting is an overnight stop on the way home from Lake George. There are 2 Jellystones that look real nice in New York. Both have great splash parks that kiddo would love and real close to I87...................but they are calling it 4th of July weekend and 3 night minimum. *********s. Probably just fight traffic and come home Friday.

I use a 6" random orbit sander with the appropriate polish and wax pads on it. I don't think it would do well on the siding of your trailer. I don't know what to suggest other than a machine with a much smaller pad size. Maybe a 3" if it would fit?
i used an orbital buffer on my old aluminum siding trailer with a paste polishing compound, and then went over it with a polish. worked pretty well. For me, it was a losing battle, that aluminum oxidized a bit worse every year. In the end, after owning it for 12 years, I gave up, and went with the new Cardinal.

Pardon me for pointing out what may be obvious to you but polish - at least the polish I use - is not a protectant. I use it to remove swirl marks and oxidation. It's like using very fine sandpaper. Then I immediately follow up with a wax or sealant. This is on my cars/trucks. I have yet to detail my trailer. It has a gel coat finish. I'm expecting it to be easier than detailing siding.
