Where are you originally from, and can you leave it in El Paso and come back and get it with a trailer?

Last time I was in El Paso was 25+ years ago, and there were no good shops/machinists I knew of back then.

Good luck, sorry for your troubles.

We're trying to help you, first thing you need to do is post what engine you have so the guys in the area can get you pointed in the right direction.

Also since you have access to the inter web, post it down in the Tx chapter section as well.

If all else fails head to the dealer.

I am of no help as I am in NY.

Check with the local FTE chapter and ask in there forum.
That may give you the answer you need.

Was trying to help with asking how you know your head gasket is toast. You've come to a site with an immense wealth of knowledgeable people who may be able to help you save some money if you give us more info. What is your truck doing to lead you to believe that your head gasket is gone?
