67 grille opinions needed
Look at this grille, it's a 67 with a Ranger emblem attached. What are your thoughts on this?
Before bashing or complimenting, I'm just asking for opinions on how the Ranger emblem looks on a 67.

Another thing to point out about the pictures on this listing is the core support being painted body color.
Here's my opinion, I do not like the Ranger emblem on a 67 it doesn't look right.
I also think if your going to have a chrome grille or a highly polished grille, the core support should be black.

Yep, looks too high. I wonder if the reason for the 68-69 grill redesign was to accommodate the Ranger badge. The chrome job looks fantastic, but I would loose the ranger badge if it were mine.
I'm very partial to the original design of the 67 trim, it's a clean, uncluttered design which suffered somewhat from the new regulations in 68, IMO.

Yeah the rad-support would look better painted black IMO to show off the pretty grille.
I see the ranger badge looks to be right inline with this eras body Beauty Bumps.
That gives theses trucks it's slang name of Bumps from what, I can see in the photos posted.
But myself being the owner of a later bump side, I don't really notice the out of placement being right or wrong for that pictured grille.
Plus the rarity of these grilles and seeing that it's been rechromed may be in the ball park price range for a cherry looking grille like that one.
As, I've had a few item recently chromed and it's "not" cheap these days with the EPA watching ever move they make to stay inline with the strict laws of todays.

Thank you to everyone who has responded.
I've reconditioned grilles for over ten years. I've mocked up the emblem on the 67 grille and I just couldn't bring myself to putting it on.
The horizontal bars on a 67 are all the same width, and gives the 67 grille a beautiful appearance. With the added emblem it makes the grille look "Odd"
The 68-69 grilles have the center horizontal bar wider and half round thus excepting the emblem, with the two upper and lower horizontal bars on the 68-69 being narrower, the emblem just looks like it belongs.

I am not opposed to installing something non-factory. I put a 69 Ranger grille and emblem on my 68 Ranger. But this 67 looks odd with it. Core support gotta be black. Pretty sure it was Prince (2) that showed before and after (body color to black) pics on a thread. Really showcased the diff.

What about a big emblem that would cover a couple of bars? Like a ford blue oval the size od one of those belt buckles rodeo clowns wear

However, if you can do it without drilling holes in a 67 grille then do it. This way when you finish installing it, you can remove it, and not say another word about it.
