Need Avice on '67 352 Radiator Hose

Hello to all,


I need some advice on my LOWER radiator hose on my '67 F100, 352. I have replaced my lower hose. However, the replacement hose does not have the SPRING inside of it. My Question --- Is this a Problem ?? Please give me some advice. tahnks to all.

The spring is separate and available from various vendors.

The purpose of the spring is to prevent the hose from collapsing at high rpm due to the suction generated by the water pump.

There must be a reason it was engineered that way, right?
