I just bought a GT Grant challenger 414 steering wheel and installation kit for my 89 F150. This is the first time I've ever put one on and was wondering how hard it is. I've got a steering wheel puller to assist me.
My only concern is that i have the cruise on the steering wheel and I know that it will no longer work because I didn't buy the cruise control kit ($130 - :-X23 ). But will the wiring be in the way? How hard is the wheel and kit to install?
I too have a Grant steering wheel... IIRC, the wiring for the cruise will tuck into the adapter for the Grant. It has been a couple years since I made the swap, so that might not be correct, but regardless, I have had no problems with the new steering wheel as far as cruise control wiring goes. I would still like to get the cruise kit from Grant.. but I'm in the same boat as you.. too much $$$
