2013 6.7 Check Engine Light On

Check engine light is on...not blinking. All fluid levels are good. Mileage is 10,700. No code displayed in engineering mode. Truck seems to be running fine.

Any suggestions?

Stop by the dealer? If for some reason you do not want to do that, you could swing by autozone and have them put the code reader on it. Not sure that everything shows up on the LCD or not.

Checked the filler cap...its OK. Looks like a trip to the dealership. That's like pulling teeth.

Sounds emissions related. Check your airfilter for proper installation as well.

Are you gettting a "Oil change required" notice on start up? That will set the CEL and it stays on even after you clear the notice. Your milage looks about right for that.....

Never had a CEL for this. And yes, I have had the oil change required message.

Go by the AutoZone and let 'em try to read your codes. It's free. My son's gas cap was loose and after tightening it took 2-3 days before the warning went away.

I checked the TSB, just looks like a re-flash of the engine computer, glad to hear it was a simple fix

Based on this issue, even if you could have read the codes, you would have needed the dealership to fix it for you anyway.

Check Engine Light. 2013 F350 / 6.7

-I recently had the exact same happen. Had driven 5000 miles and got the (expected) "oil chg required" light. Dealership performed the oil chg and now I have a solid 'check engine light" (CEL) lit. Fuel cap tight. Did TSB 13-10-11 fix this?
