what is this connector, and pioneer stereo question

So I have two questions.

on my 2000 F250 lariat 6.8l 4x4 there is a connector located between the drivers headlight and radiator, sticking to core support that goes to nothing. Its a two wire connector with a cap on it.

any ideas? Could this be the infamous fog light connector some say the trucks have and others say they don't have.

second... just a question. those of you that installed a double din pioneer stereo in there f250 how did you over come the parke break wire problem.

I tried straight grounding it and it doesn't work, the screen says I must apply the park break, disengage the brake, and then apply again to switch to video. WTH pioneer, really make it that complicated now?

I am considering wiring it to a toggle switch and just flipping it on then off then on again.

thanks

I used a relay to bypass it on my old AVH-4400DVD. I will do the same when I put it in my foxbody Mustang. It allows full use in motion.

Do a quick Google. It looks like some things have changed with the new Pioneer units, but it can still be bypassed.

My Pioneer just has the wire grounded but it seems they may have changed things, as for the connector, is it for a block heater? A picture would help

My block heater is the typical household plug, so I doubt he's looking at a block heater plug.

A picture will help...
