Hello, I think I'm in the right place. I have a 1966 F100 stepside 4x4 with what I believe is the original 300ci inline 6 and original drivetrain. I've searched and searched yet still I have not been able to confirm it. Anyways I'm from central Cali and glad to be here. Seems to be a lot going on. Might take me a while to figure it out, Bare with me please. I'll post some pics as soon as I figure out how.

Welcome to FTE! You are in a very good place for information and help about your truck.
There is a very good chance your truck came with the 300 from the factory, as that was one of 3 engines available.
We can tell for sure if you post the VIN. We can also tell you more about your truck if you post the entire Warranty Plate information. The Warranty Plate should be on the driver's door, just above the locking mechanism.

One thing you might want to do is compare the VIN number on the title, on the Warranty Plate and on the frame with each other to make sure they match - at least that the title and frame VINs match. Often, the driver's door gets whacked and then replaced, but the original Warranty Plate isn't retained and transferred to the replacement door. So, you might have an incorrect Warranty Plate - but hopefully not!

Look for the frame VIN on the passenger rail, on the top. It is stamped lightly, so use a brush instead of a grinder to reveal it. The VIN will be stamped on the rail about where the front of the engine is.

Post back, and we can decode it all for you.

Again, Welcome to FTE.

First and Foremost; Welcome to FTE!! Hopefully the driver's side door has not been replaced and the VIN is valid, post the info and member(s) should be able to ID. VIN should be located on the jamb near the lock mechanism. Again, welcome to FTE, looking forward to your input.

Great thank you very much. I'm headed out to truck now. I just rebuilt the motor and painted engine compartment and don't remember anything on frame but I'll get the door vin for you

Ok I can't find the frame vin. Pretty thick under coating before I owned the truck and I didn't bring that part to the metal before I painted it again 2 weeks ago. I haven't figured out how to post pics from my iPhone yet so here are all the numbers from the door in order with proper spaces:
F11BR861920
115 F110 481 A C5
05600 150 3600 721085
