Are there many active members here?

Hi, I look at many different year forums here for trucks and Broncos, I am surprised how long between posts on this one. Aren't there many active members here?

Back in the year 2000, the Early Bronco Forum was really hoppin' ! But I've noticed over the last few years the date of last post on the main FTE forum index page for the EB has been getting long.

A lot can change over 15 years, sure has for me, I've divested myself of most of the vehicles I had, and at this point, alas, I will never own an early Bronco nor any other old vehicle that I do not have now. Getting old, really I am.

It will be interesting to see if you can stir up some activity.

I was once a moderator/operator of a particular vehicle website, and there were some lookers, but if no one's posting a problem, or what they are working on, then no one posts nor sticks around. Activity begets activity. The one I was on I worked the activity up from about 5 a week to over a hundred posts a day, and it kept growing and growing, as search engines would find it then and more piled in.

Yep, things are usually pretty slow here. Personally I'm on FTE for my '97 F-250 mostly. I bought that a couple years ago and have needed to work on it more than my Bronco lately. Plus my next project vehicle is planned to be another mid-'90s F-series. Those, along with the fact that it's a much more active board, keep me more active on the '87 - '96 forum. But I still check in here pretty regularly, and I've appreciated help on a couple of things I've needed to ask about.

^^That and all the local clubs. Between CB.com and North West Classic Broncos, I don't have a lot of time to spend here. I mostly come to FTE for the PowerStroke Section.

I normally hang out at the 81-86 forum, but if all works out, I'll be picking up an EB this weekend. It has some problems, so I'll probably be posting over here from time to time as we work on the project.

interest v site activity

Back in the '90s I seem to recall lots more activity nationally on the 'EB'. There were doz of sites.
What helps if one or more guys have Qs as the restore or just wanna post devlopments. The energy & excitement is there (2 B on-line). Many slo down as they just get out there and use a restored rig. We're always lookin 4 new or younger guys (a least me). Right now I'm off the net @ home so don't stop by here much (the library)...

Dear Ye Antique Dudes,

Yup - I hear ya... I stumbled across someone asking about putting 8-hole wheels on an original. But I can't find him, now. I wanted to say something (not that it would matter) as one who has had way too much experience doing that... My '71 is now laid-up in fair to poor condition. When the steering-box started locking-up on turns, it scared me enough to go out & buy a new (at the time) 2000 Freightliner. My new car now is a 2000 7.3L FWD Excursion... But every time I go over to the other shop, there sits the '71 - with around 400k miles, gathering evermore layers of dust - and reminding me of many long-ago splendid adventures & very much toil...

Funny - My wife's first new car is a 2000 Expedition (we still have it) - so we have three active 2000-somethings. Must be something astrological about 2000...

Yours, BB
