4x4 on the fly standard on Lariat?
Just was able to download my window sticker.
F250 4x4 Lariat. It doesn't list the electronic shift on the fly under optional equipment. It does list manual hubs as standard equipment. Does this come standard with 608A? The book claims it comes standard with the Lariat. Waiting on my dealer to clarify should only take a minute but is taking days. I didn't want to assume anything with this purchase. Uggg! I did get the rear e-locker, but again, didn't want to assume just because the switch is there, well you get the point. Anyone have insight?

I wonder why its not just a straight up option. When it comes to trucks, stuff like a real transfer case lever should not be looked at as a lesser option. I wonder if the dealer could swap it out for you on a new truck (if that was the deciding factor). I mean in theory they would be left with more valuable parts.

XL is the only one with a manual shifter. Anything above is all SOTF. I wasn't a fan of it, either. When I was shopping, I was looking at XL's with the power option (windows and door locks). I stumbled across the XLT I have now and it has SOTF. I've since gotten used to it. I guess its nice to have. I'm sure within two months or 50 miles after my warranty ends I'll be having issues with it though.

You can have a manual shifter on XL, XLT, and Lariat if desired. Dealerships tend to have the ESOF on the lots. Optional on XLT and most of the time standard on the Lariat, you have the 40/Console/40 seating which will not allow for the manual shifter. On lariats you have the option to have the standard 40/20/40 bucket seats which can allow for the manual shift. So if your not seeing it on your window sticker, chances are you have the 40/20/40 bucket seating as well. It will come up as an option to have 40/console/40 seating at "NO CHARGE" on the window sticker. Hope this helps.

after about six months of looking, I just bought a 2015 F250 CCLB 6.2 and XLT and above were all ESOF. I specifically asked for a manual shifter and I was told over and over again XLs only. I just happened to stumble across an XLT on the lot for cheaper than the XLs I was looking at.

My 2013 Lariat has the 40/20/40. I wanted it that way and ordered it that way. Manual shift t case still isn't an option. ESOF is standard on Lariat regardless of seating selection.

Thanks for all of the responses. I just got this same information from Ford today.
FWIW, I've had both Lever and All time systems. The only system I had trouble with was a manual system, although I abused it and the truck was lifted, putting a strain on the geometry(resolution was a cable system).
I think one key to keeping these systems working well is to cycle them regularly.
