I'm starting my first restoration project and picked a 1950 f1. There are numbers and letters stamped on the firewall just below the vent. The ID is: 2KC 3C246. I was wondering if or what these numbers mean.
Thanks! I really appreciate it! Here are a couple of pics...found this in North Dakota but originally from Arizona. It came with a '78 460 but changing it to a 302.
That's some good looking sheet metal on your new prize. If possible, driving your truck before any extensive work is a great way to enjoy the old girl while learning about true needs (and the difference from 'nice to haves').
By the way, if you select the 'User CP' option (on the upper left - in the blue bar) you can add a location to your info. It is a good element and has allowed others to connect with new FTE pals.
Welcome. And X2 on driving her as is after the 302 is in. I would also
do a brake upgrade to a duel reservoir master cylinder. But if she has
all drum brakes on her now you would want to decide now as to
weather you plan to ever go with disc up front as It may take a different
master. But as soon as you can tone it down from that way over kill
of a 460 I would drive the crap out of her and let her tell ya want
she want's and needs.
