Belt / Pulley / or Pump Noise

Hello,

I have a chirping / squeaking noise repetitive.

I have a new belt on changed that about 6 months ago. I also cleaned all the pulleys with simple green then, brake cleaner, spun all the pulleys for noise and wobble and nothing seems out of place.

I did the water test and it stops the noise for a few seconds then it comes back, after that I tried to narrow it down to a specific pulley, it seems that when I spray brake clean on the top of the water pump belt location it goes away.

Anyone think changing the water pump pulley could cure it? it looks as if the belt has been slipping for some time as the pulley is very shiny.

Trying not to throw parts at it but if i did I would suppose waterpump pulley, then tentioner, new belt then, water pump...any ideas or obvious solutions?

When my belt was squealing i changed the belt and tensioner and later the idler pulley. If your water pump pulley is where the noise is coming from is the pulley available seperate? What belt did you use?

I can get the pulley separate, belt I bought was Motorcraft JK8996AA V-Ribbed Belt

it worked a few months ago, noise started to show up then got worse.

Good deal on the Motorcraft belt. That is what I went with as well. Some prefer the Goodyear gatorback belts.

Try the water pump pulley first and see how that works. Maybe the bearing is going.
