Smile Please advise how to remove '67 MX rear coupler

It is an honor to join this club. Should have done it 20 yrs ago when I got my first '67 F250. Anyway, thank you! My simple request is for help in extracting the "coupler" on the tail(shaft) of my 1967 F250 MX tranny (out of vehicle). I've already removed the 1 1/2" nut, but the coupler seems very frozen. I have a super-sized 2 or 3 claw puller, so I tried it with two claws (i.e., 180 degrees apart) from each side of the square "coupler" (not sure if that is the correct nomenclature for this part). First I positioned it up and down, then moved the puller 90 degrees to pull the square coupler's left and right sides (in other words, I tried "every which way"). Won't budge. Of course, when turning the nut on the puller, I have to hold the coupler to prevent it from turning too (not an easy task). Maybe I need to anchor the "coupler" better, while turning the nut on the puller (i.e., screwing the center auger inward, in hopes of prying the coupler off). Do I need a slide hammer with a fancy attachment? While I'm waiting for a thoughtful soul to reply, I've lubricated the crevice between the shaft and this "coupler" (which has four bolts to attach to drive shaft). BTW, the tranny was outside for several years (although covered). Even in San Diego, things do rust...

Welcome to FTE!

I have not done this but here are some thoughts. Trozei here stated once 50% ACETONE (wife's fingernail polish remover) and 50%ATF mixed is an excellent penetrating oil. Soak the splines in this solution. The splines in the yoke are in the splines of the output shaft normally aren't they? I mean nobody tried a 4000 RPM clutch dump and twisted the splines all up did they?
