08 F-250 Super Duty V10 Mirrors

Hi all. Just bought my truck a few weeks ago. Looking to upgrade my existing mirrors to an extendable tow mirror. I have power mirrors w/out turn signal or heat. Will a mirror w/ turn signal even work if original does not have that option? Can anyone recommend a good brand and source?

Is your truck an XL? Do you currently have tow mirrors? I believe the mirror harness's were made plug and play after 2002. Alot of Excursion members have had good luck with the mirrors from 1Aauto. (Site vendor) Also check out Super Duty Service (another vendor) in the 6.0 liter section. FYI you would probably receive more responses in the Super Duty forum regarding the wiring.

I just upgraded my stock power "paddle" mirrors to the 1a Auto tow mirrors. I did not switch to the ones with the turn signal but the ones that were power for the mirror adjustment only and manually telescope. It came with the conversion plug from the new mirror(flat wire) to my round factory harness. The mirrors are so much better and it was ann easy switch with no mods. I would try and call 1a Auto about the turn signal option. They may help or as stated above if you search mirror upgrade in the super duty forum, there are a few threads about the upgrade.

Thanks Mike. I did not see a mirror with just the power mirror option and manual extend and fold. I did get a reply from 1a auto to call them directly but will have to wait a few days till I have a day off. This is huge forum and still figuring out the navigation. Where is the vendor site?

Search "tow mirror replacement" or similar in the Super Duty forum (log in first). Several threads with really good information there! I had good luck with 1a Auto. If you call them, ask for Tony! I talked to someone else there and they told me the mirrors I eventually bought from them were not available!

I did fabricate my own harness from the mirror plug all the way under the dash to power up the clearance/turn signal lights and heat.

I was just looking through my subscribed threads. This one: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...w-mirrors.html seems to have the most information.

Good luck with your selection!
