A/c In 93 Ranger

I have a 93 Ranger, V6, 3.0, the A/c doesn't work. Can I charge it myself? If so, where would I get the stuff to charge it? I really have no clue here as you can see, I'd really appreciate any suggestions. I've read other posts and I have no idea what kind of refrigerant my truck uses, etc.. Thanks

Yes you can providing you do a little home work first and are not mechanically challenged. .
get the 12.00 dollar hanse manual on A/C's any auto zone will have it . check out http://www.aircondition.com/ . you need to trouble shoot and figure out why your A/C isnt working just dont stick freon in. 93's still have R-12 has your been converted to 134 or still original. rent or borrow a set of high and low pressure gages and get some readings we all can help from there.
