I've installed the performance tune on my livewire ts tuner. When I get on it it feels like the truck can't keep up with the engine. Any ideas? The settings can be changed for alot of different settings, is the a certain setting anyone does to get the best performance out of truck. I also have 3 custom tunes I haven't picked out yet. Which tunes should I get? truck is for everyday driving to work nothing else. I have stock head studs so maybe tunes that won't blow my gasket. Thanks

 

Gearhead tunes, I run them on BOTH my trucks and couldn't be happier!

The shifting, power, fuel economy, idling, and even the starting can't be beat.

On the 7.3 I've run:

-SCT X2 set on Performance
-DP-Tuner (waste of money)

On the 6.0 I've run:

-Gearhead SRL+ and SRL Extreme
-Truck Source Diesel's Super Panty Dropper
-Quick Trick's Looney Wild

Gearhead tunes have by far been the best on my truck and I strongly recommend them.

 

^^^ but how are the tunes for a non-bullet proofed truck...? or maybe in the process of doing so. I'm working towards getting the SCT also.

Hokiehivpi runs SRL on his '04 Excursion and he's only had the EGR deleted and the oil cooler swapped running stock headbolts.
