How much oil are we talking here? How many miles on the engine? If it's not on the ground and it's not in the coolant, I has to be burning it somehow. What's the fuel filter look like? Clean and yellow or nasty and black?

Have you pulled the intake boot off the turbo and checked the turbo shaft for end play?

Precisely, I'm willing to bet its your orings on your injectors. I know you mentioned it was not, but if your turbo is pushing enough past the seals to be noticeable you would have white and a wet down pipe. if its not in the coolant or pan, well it can only be burnt...

No shaft play. Fuel filters clean. I did not mention however, that this is a customers truck. I got my own lil shop. These trucks r all i work on. Well, the ford diesel line up. If u see me ask a question here on this site, forget the begginer ****. Process of elimination has been done.....thrice over...

So,wen i got the truck your suggestions were the 1st thing i always do. Yes,an o-ring was tore. I replaced all of them. Like i say,put on your thinkin caps. And no,its not bein burnt

That's just it, if it isn't leaking it out and ending up on the ground, and it isn't in the coolant from a bad oil cooler, then it has to be making its way out the tailpipe by way of combustion somehow. Either it is mixing with the fuel and being burned, or it is ending up in the intake, or it's going straight into the combustion chambers somehow.

I take it there isn't any excessive blowby out the CCV or oil cap?

Does the truck pass a CCT? I have heard of injectors failing internally and allowing HPO to bypass into the cylinder but I would think for you to have a stick that badly messed up it would have a dead miss on one hole.

Turbo seals blown and allowing the oil to be sucked into the intake and burned? I don't know.

Once again, it has to be burning it somehow if it isn't leaking out and isn't in the coolant.

I'll ask the dumb question.
Was the oil topped off after the orings were done?
Has it had a oil change since then and wasnt filled all the way?

I don't quite understand if the truck is burning oil or not now with this statement.... we have outlined the only places it would go

Mike (ford pride) had a good point and something to easily miss. Was the oil topped up after the orings were done and the truck running again. Those passages can probably take a litre right there.
