1956 F500 Replacement Lug Nuts

They are 3/4" x 16 tpi, ball seat, and the design has been unchanged for 90 or more years. You can buy them at any good truck parts store. Not sure you want or would find actual chrome plated nuts. Conventional new nuts are either cad or nickel plated, not sure which, but no matter they are very shiney. The concern I'd have with chrome would be whether the plating would stand up to the spec'd 450-500 lb/ft of torque. Stu

Thanks Stu! I just found an old post from 2008 where a guy asked similar questions about his F6 and you and NumberDummy really gave lots of good info. Guess I'll just go with chrome covers. It's cheaper and, like you said, doubt the chrome would hold up to the torque. If I recall the nuts are 1.5" outside width. Thanks again.
