Tire selection

I have a stock height 93' F150 4x4. I would like to put 33x10.5s on it. I have the 4.9l 5speed. Am I going to be able to fit these and should I see any increase in mpg cruising? I have the taller gears I think they're 3.50's

33s will fit fine depending on the wheel offset. You possibly could get some rub on the bumper under certain circumstances with 12.5s. We have a 96 4.9 5spd truck (with 3.55s too) and our plans are 33s as well with a 2" level of the front. We plan on 10.5 wide though, not 12.5. In my opinion, the 4.9 has plenty of torque to use OD with the 33s, but as always YMMV. It will never be used for towing, just a DD for my daughter.

They are going to be tight and bog down the engine. 4.10s are much better gear choice for 33s

For a stock height 4x4 I'd get 32 11.50.

Remember too that most 33s don't really measure 33". BFGs are notorious for being around 32" actual.

This truck has 33s with just a level spacer on the front coils.

I like it.

Tire fitment will depend entirely on wheel offset.

It does depend on offset but I have 33 12.50s on my truck and did have to trim the bumper slightly, I did not notice a difference in drivability going from my old 235 75/r15s. I doubt you will see a mileage increase, as mine droppef a little.

I haven't had an issue with alignment on my truck since the 33's.

Recently I replace my front springs with new f250 springs just so I wouldn't stuff the tires. Other than that nothing.

The first two pics are with the new springs, and the last is the old.

Take a look at my gallery. I currently have 32s installed but the next set will be 33s.

Has anyone tried 33x12.50 on a 16.5x10 rim. I found some cheap with the tires but not sure if they would fit a stock height 95 f150 4x4? Anyone know if they would fit?

If your keeping stock wheels, the 33 10.50 looks kinda cool. Its not a common size. A friend of mine just put that size on a J10. It looks perfect on it.
