Something just doesn't seem right about that truck....
It's an Eddie Bauer truck, yet the Eddie Bauer never had a monochrome paint scheme option. The only trucks that had that were Limited trucks. So it's obviously been painted....
If you told me it was a Limited, I would believe you until I looked inside and saw the two tone seats.
The front bumper looks a little tweaked, could be my eyes, but it looks tweaked to me. Between the paintjob, the tweaked front bumper, and the lift, I'd have to guess that this truck was in some sort of wreck and was rebuilt.
I don't know what it is, but something tells me a better truck at a better price is out there for you.
That's the first thing that struck me as well. It was an Eddie Bauer since it has the two tone interior but at the least, the body cladding has been painted. Don't know what that means. Did you check the Carfax?
OK, reopening this thread I think..may have one last shot at this! Going tomorrow to see how it rides.
Found one at a dealer that I may be able to purchase. I took a bunch of pictures, some are random, and will post them below. What do you think based on the look of the vehicle? Interior looks outstanding, 154,000 miles. It is cloth and I really like leather but I can probably make do with it for now, maybe look into a leather swap later in time..also, is this color common? I have not seen it around a whole lot! I do know that it will need a grill replacement or paint of some sort, not sure what could have happened to it, maybe it sat for a while or something.
It looks well cared for. Someone liked it enough to put Michelin tires on it. I see some with "yakamoto Pluto michimato ultimate ht" white letter tires and it cheapens the whole vehicle. That one is certainly worthy of an up close look. The price seems on the low side.
Pass. It's not exactly what you want and you can do better I did and am EXTREMELY happy I did! LL, TD, KM, and the rest of FTE all stood behind (and in front of) me and made sure I got the perfect truck (for me). Make sure you do the same
Well after today I can safely say run like he!! from an X from the salty north. I knew I had a spot about the pinch well under the right rear door that was rusted through. I don't know how to weld so I had to figure out a way to put in some metal. I ended up bolting in a piece. Attempted my first bondo job in like forever. I hate that crap! Definitely have to buy more--a LOT more of that brain cell killer. This was the first "hole" and hopefully the only one---but dont torture yourself. When in doubt not only look at whats mentioned above but pull back the lower weatherstripping on the door.
Well my friends, I am now an Ex owner. A very, very proud Ex owner. Found one at a dealer for a bit of a price, talked them down to an excellent price (in my opinion).
I am now an owner of a Black 2001 Ford Excursion Limited V10.
It has 135k miles and a nice Gibson Exhaust and K&N Cold Air Intake (even though it does not do much).
An interesting Bull Bar.
It has the F350 grill (even though I like the Excursion one, this is nice too)
New wheels (not sure what kind, unfortunately it is not a manual hub one (weird))
No scratches, dents and the like, it was garage kept.
I am shocked by the quality of the vehicle, amazing! I will post pictures tomorrow in the day time!!!!
