Buying All Fenders

Hey folks, I'm going to be looking to buy all new fenders for my truck, I'm looking to get good quality parts. I was looking at LMC truck for all the parts I've found they have they cheapest freight shipping. My question is has anyone ever bought fenders from them? Are they American made? Anyone recommend any place else?

I know you live up in the Rust belt. have you considered calling wrecking yards from the lower states or west coast regarding some OEM panels? for instance I just bought an F250 fender for $25 that is strait and will fit for sure.

LMC is made in China, and is thinner metal. Matt (biggreen350) sat on a LMC tailgate, and it bent! Would not recommend them! Check junkyards, craigslist, and maybe try having a body shop locate OEM fenders?

The fenders are non near as bad as the tailgate... That thing is made from tinfoil.

The fenders are workable, but expect to take some time fitting them. A good set of used fenders is better IMO.

What does IMO mean? I have an LMC fender on my truck, it came with a small dent straight out of the box. On the front corner by the headlight, you can kinda see it in the pic.

Ugh the rust belt sucks hahah. No I have not. I'm not really sure where to start except looking online. Yeah I'd prefer not to use LMC's fenders then. I many have to look around and check with my local mechanic.

seriously, go to some westcoast cities on CL and search for "parting out ford". find a yard that is tearing one down and make some phone calls. There is a place here in the Portland area called Fosters auto wrecking if I recall. I am sure they would ship.

IMO, I would never use anything other than the OEM parts for these bronco's!! There are several guys selling rust free parts, just look around on CL. There is a guy down south maybe NC that sells alot of stuff that's rust free. I'll try to find him for you!! I'm sure you know that the 92-96 trucks F150/250/350 (and 97 F250/350HD) use lot of the same parts right? Most of the aftermarket stuff is junk compared to the OEM stuff!! Just my .02

I did this 6 months ago, I think one of the upper bolts didn't want to line up. I know for sure that my LMC rock guard was too short, and I had to bend a bracket to make it close to lining up. I got all my LMC parts as a package deal from a failed project, all new in the box. I would have bought Ford ones if I hadn't got that deal.
