Need advice on a good towing setup 2007 F250 V10
I just bought a 2007 King Ranch F250 with the V10. The rig has 28K miles on it. I bought it mainy to tow my boat & backhoe. I have a 2011 rear bumper that I plan on putting on this truck as well as one of the newer super duty rear tailgates with the built in step.
What type of hitch setup would be best for this rig? Do I have to worry about the 2011 rear bumper on the 2007 truck when considering a hitch? Right now there is no reciever hitch on the truck. It was taken off before I purchased it for whatever reason so I am starting from scratch here.
Any advise would be great.
Thanks in advance...

28,000 miles WOW
1. You need to determine how much your Truck can Tow (look in manual)
2. How much does your Backhoe & Trailer weigh together
3. Get a Hitch that exceeds your current needs in weight rating
I don't think the newer Bumper would matter, but lots of people install the later Bumper & Iam sure someone will confirm.
I installed aftermarket Bumpers & it didn't affect my Hitch at all

I put on a Reese Titan hitch with an 18,000lb trailer rating, 2,000/2,500 (weight carrying/weight distribution) tongue weight.
I have a 14k dump trailer and my trucks max conventional trailer capacity is 14,000lbs. The factory receiver was only good for 8,000lb/800lb trailer/tongue weight carrying and I don't have a WD setup so I upped the receiver.
Hitch was around $330
Matching shank and trailer ball was about $100.

I have a Curt XD. The capacity is 2,550/17000 weight carrying or WD. It is a 2" hitch which was a must for me as I was not buying all new drops, pintle and etc.(mine are already all class 5)
