1995 Ford F150, 5.0L, 4WD, Dana 44 TTB Front Axle Tag Interpretation

I have a couple of question concerning the tag on my 4WD front axle. I cannot find the meaning of a couple of the numbers. See the attached photo and red text. Any information would be appreciated.

3.31 gear ratio, open differential (STD). A little unusual ratio.

What does the D-142-A mean?

I appreciate your input.

No idea

The main thing is to know the gear ratio and whether or not it has a limited slip differential.

Thanks!
I am considering rebuilding the axle myself. I have a fair amount of experience with autos, but have never messed with rebuilding an axle.

Good idea or bad? Thoughts

I have rebuilt axles in my home garage without air tools. As long as you understand the terminology, you are good.

THANK YOU for this. I broke a radius arm and had to drop one side of my TTB to get at it, I swapped out the TTB arm with an arm from a donor truck that I had already pressed new ball joints into, the side with the diff. I wasnt aware of this tag, I went out and scraped te axle a bit and there it was! and I was able to match the ratios, and know it was OK to install. Pro tip; NEVER put your jack stands under the radius arms while doing the drag links or anything else that requires the front end to be suspended..it weakens the arms and this is what happens!!
