As a result of these engineering changes, Ford’s plow-prep option costs only $50. No chassis upgrades or suspension tweaks are necessary.

Ya cant't beat that
Then when it comes time to trade or sell it will be a advantage if ya dont even use a plow on it.

Put a Blade on the Front of Your 2015 F-150 and Turn into Mr. Plow

Put a Blade on the Front of Your 2015 F-150 and Turn into Mr. Plow

Fifty dollars. You can either spend it on a week's worth of overpriced coffee and fast food or use it to pay Ford to prepare your 2015 F-150 to accept a snow plow.

This is very interesting. Hmmm, wonder if FORD has continued this with the 2016 and 2017's??

Never (except for one day 32 years ago) would I need a plow anywhere near here. I'm surprised that a suspension upgrade isn't part of the package. That front end was squatting quite a bit.

Seems like a cop out to just throw a switch onto the dash that kills power to limited systems. Give me a HD alternator. Not only would I want my headed seat to work, there might be other power draws like CB/Ham radios and additional lighting.
