Dim odometer and radio display when headlights are on

Hello all,

I've been searching for the last week for an answer to this problem and all I've found are people with the same issue but no real solution.

They problem I have is when I am driving and the headlights are on my odometer and radio display is extremely dim. When this first happened I thought the displays were completely off until it got darker outside. It only happens when it is dark enough for the auto headlight feature to function.

When it is bright outside I can turn the **** between off, headlights on and auto and the displays are still bright. When it darkens outside the only way I can have the displays lit up to where I can read them is to turn my lights to off.

I have tried adjusting the dash dimmer switch, checked fuses and looked over the wiring but cannot find the fault.

It is a 2011 6.7L F250. Any assistance or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Does the dimmer actually work? I have fix an F150 that did this and it turned out to be the dimmer.

Thanks

Just ran out to try it and it doesn't dim the dash lights but it does turn on and off the interior lights still when held down or pushed several times.

Just double checked and the interior lights come on after clicking up once, no matter how many times I clicked down preciously so it looks like the dimmer switch is the culprit. Thanks!

On my '11 holding the rocker (top or bottom) to the dash only controls the interior lights. "Pulsing" the rocker (top or bottom) only adjusts the dash light brightness. I should point out that I don't have "auto" for my lights.
