The new 450's are indeed nice but nobody ever has any in stock down here for a test ride. I'd like to see how much better the turning radius is compared to my 350 which I don't find that bad. It would drive me nuts ordering one and having to wait 4 months to get it in. Not to much owed on my '17 to pay it off and only 16K miles on the clock so I guess it'll be around for awhile!

Just about to roll 40k on mine. First truck I've kept longer than 34k. LOL. Paid off about 2 years ago and I'm planning for a replacement at 10 years in 2023. Hoping for factory rear air ride by then................Though we are planning a replacement for it to drag around for 2020 and that is exciting because the shopping starts next year!

My older Dually
My 99 F350 v10
This is my 99 F350. I wanted to get an older truck that I could work with and redo a little here and there. It is a 1999 f350 SD with the v10 4x4 with the 3:73 rear. I don't know much else about it. I had to redo the exhaust so thats new cat back. Put a 40s series flow master with dual pipes. sounds good enough, and I can still ride in it. Love it so far. WIll post more pics of it later on I am new here less than an hour so still learning. ANY feedback is welcome.

" If anything were to happen to this rig, I'd more than likely go back with the same floor plan in the newer model. The only other ones that are similar are the Big Country and the Open Road with the storage that this one has. That being said, the BC is a reversed layout although I prefer the bed in the front. But who knows. I could probably get used to it."
I have no idea what your floor plan is but it sounds like maybe the mirror image of my Bighorn; I have the living room up front and an elevated (3 steps) master bedroom in the rear. This gives us 3 full pass-thru's of undercarriage storage and three inside living zones. Up front (out of the way) grandkids/ company/ dogs, etc., a center area for cooking/ eating, a private rear area for my getaway.

If I could have seen/ driven one I would have gone that route. I wasn't gonna travel many hundreds of in-state miles and/or shop out of state (Florida or Georgia). As it was I still had to travel for the dually.
While I didn't need an F450 it was a want (for future proofing); if need be I'll cross that bridge when required.
Now with 1800 miles on her, 900 miles towing; it is bank owned for 5 years.

Welcome to the dually section (and FTE).
Yours looks very similar to my former 2002 V10 F250 SRW. My best 'upgrade' was relatively cheap ($250) and very useful. I installed larger, rectangle style, double mirrors (movable in/out) for towing; They were not OEM but looked like them. Direct fit, non- vibrating; very helpful. A couple of years later (before trading the truck in) I returned the original paddle mirrors (nobody wanted them) and sold these for $175.
I just did a quick search, I believe this is the site and these may be the mirrors: https://www.1aauto.com/ford-mirror-pair-trail-ridge-tr00044/i/trmrp00044?f=1111739&y=2002

Why go small? No kids, no grand kids, no family on my side and wife family all lives in Europe and thinks we Americans are crazy so they don't and won't visit. Only one of our 5 dogs weighs over 12 lbs...I don't bowl or play basketball so go small...
