Breakfast G2G Feb 22
#16
Marge and I had the occasion last week to watch the neighbors' two-year-old for a couple hours while they had some kind of real-estate meeting to go to. The parents had left the TV on, but tuned to some old movie that was of absolutely no interest to the young'un or us.
I started flipping through channels and arrived at some old Hanna-Barbara Tom and Jerry cartoons. We watched them for about an hour when I realized just how much violence there was in those old shows. I mentioned it to Marge, but she simply said, "We watched that stuff, and didn't turn out so bad."
After the neighbors got home I mentioned it to them. They are both from rural Southern Illinois, and pretty home-spun. Dad says to me, "Audrey LOVES Tom and Jerry!"
After that, I didn't feel quite so guilty about exposing a two-year-old to so much violence.
Shows to go ya'...........

Good to see old FTE friends, and to meet new ones. Welcome Vince and (sorry, please prompt with wife's name again), this is a good bunch of people.
Pretty-good grub, too. Good choice of venues, Sean.
Good light-up of Justin's military lantern!
Always good to see Bill and Carol!
Got some good-sized grapefruit at Orcutt Park's annual pick-n-sack event on the way home. Marge has already gone through half of one.
Two parties went home with new restoration projects courtesy of Sean's recent over-purchase.

What a great G2G and breakfast. A few pics... (Bill, Carol, Marv, (Marge), Aidie, (Sean), Cynthia, Vince, Justin).
Had a nice hike (Corriganville and Rocky Peak) with 80 cal (Aidric) after the lantern show.

Here is a great resource for understanding how the lanterns work and working on them.

Had a nice breakfast with you all. Thanks for coming.
We look like we were spelunking, or something, but really it was only a nice breakfast. Thank you Sean for the lantern. That was nice of you.
Pop, weird thing about your double post. Vbulletin dated one of them at 6:31, and the second at the correct time. Don't understand how that could happen. (never mind, now it is corrected. somethin weird going on in my browser I guess)

I was able to check the performance after grinding by removing my 228's valve. It's the only only one of my four that have a large valve.
Glad it worked out for you, and sorry it took SOOOOO long to get it back to you!
Maybe someday I'll have you change the 228 over to a small one. But.... "if it isn't broken, don't fix it!"
Good seeing you two yesterday! It's been a while since we've seen 80. Looks like you guys really had some fun later on.
