first f150/250 build

hello, I just bought my first 1986 f150 body that's bolted to a f250 chassis. it currently has a carbed 351w, manual trans, 4x4, 6 inch suspension lift, and 35 inch tires. I will be getting help from my brother in law who knows these trucks very well. first things I will be doing are 3 inch body lift, 94 f250 interior conversion including dash with autometer gauges, step bars, modified front bumper, and clean up the engine bay. heres how it looks now:

thanks, I picked it up fairly cheap, and the chassis has no issues and is very solid. most of the parts will be donated or cheap from my brother in law, and the rest I will search for. it will be a fun build

I believe the doors have been replaced with newer ones [from a later model truck]. The seat has been replaced as well.

The truck looks very good. Have fun!

the dash is actually in really rough shape. the previous owner didn't do much maintenance wise. that's one of the main reasons im converting to 94 interior, plus the interior is free......cant beat that

You may want to rethink the dash swap, it's not a bolt in project. Here is a link to some of the differences.

my brother in law has the entire cab from a 94 he stripped out. if it wasn't illegal to swap vin tags I would just do that, but we are going to cut out all brackets and weld them in my 86. we are also converting to c4 auto because this t19 has seen better days, and the np208 adapter is broken

I will post daily if I can. looking into a c6 transmission right now because I read there better than the c4. its going to be a heavy truck and might be better to go c6 right?

the only thing I don't have for the 94 interior swap is the dash wire harness. working on that now, plus thinking of a aod trans swap
