Hey guys I drive a 07 f150 4.6 super crew xlt
I got bigger set of tires on my truck and Im pretty sure my torque/ or hp dropped ( sorry I'm a noob ). Stock tires were 260/65/18 now I have 275/65/18 duratracs. My truck is all stock , other than the gotts mod. I was planning on getting an exhaust system (magnaflow or flowmaster) , but I might hold off on that and get a tuner instead. I really don't know what a custom tune is or a canned tune, I was just gonna buy a edge or bullydog programmer . I'm just wondering if I get one of these tuners will it bring my truck's hp/torque atleast back to stock??

Any info/tips are greatly appreciated!!

 

Canned tunes are ones that come on SCT/Edge/Bully Dog/etc. devices. They are vehicle specific but still rather one size fits all. Custom tunes allow for optimization for your specific vehicles/mods/driving style/habits/etc. Our custom tunes on the 4.6 will give you +25 hp, +30 lb ft, correction for speedo/any aftermarket parts you add to your truck, better driveability and improved economy. Is there a long term affect for using the edge evolution (15051) ? I bought it and have it at level 2 and love it, but I started reading some reviews saying that people have had to get the trucks re-flashed at the dealership within a year of purchase. Have anyone else heard of having problems with the programmer?

 

I just bought an 07 with the 5.4 and the Edge (assuming 15051?) was already installed. However, I did not get a users manual. Does anyone know where I can download one? I don't want to mess with it until I can read up a bit.

It's been set on performance since I picked the truck up and I really am having fun. I haven't played with it. I want to make sure I understand the instructions first.

I did notice it tracks my speed and it's almost dead on with my speedo. I compared the two against my Tom Tom and at highway speeds they are about 2 MPH slower. My truck has a 6 inch Fabtech lift and aftermarket wheels and tires.

 

I got mine mostly on level two (tow mode) I like the extra low end torque , but I haven't messed with my settings much either other than changing my tire size

 

2012 F259 gas. Edge says this is a known issue??????
