Check the bushings on the clutch pedal assy and where the master pushrOd hooks to the pedal. They can cause a low clutch engagement.

Check and see how much the fork moves when the pedal is depressed. You should have at least 1/2". Any less and you will have disengagement issues

The hydraulic fluid was black when you were bleeding it? And it worked well for a while and then failed after 15 miles. Sounds like you have a bunch of water in the hydraulic fluid. Brake fluid is hydroscopic meaning it naturally absorbs water. Enough water in the system and it will drastically lower the boiling point of the fluid. So when it gets hot it will boil and suddenly you have compressible gas in the hydraulic system instead of incompressible liquid.

Brake fluid starts to turn black when it gets water in it. You'll need to flush a lot of clean brake fluid through the system to get it all out.
