1967 F100 4x4 - Original Wheels

Looking to grab some original rims + hub-caps for my 67' F100 4x4.
I have tried to do my research and only come across the following information.
As far as I am concerned, 1967 was the first year Ford made hub-caps for the front wheels on 4x4's.
I was only able to find one design on hub cap with the opening for locking hubs,
so I am guessing 4x4's only came with 1 specific type of hub-cap, although I could be wrong.

1967 Ford Pickups had 5 different wheel styles.
(I am not sure if 4x4's had there own specific hub-cap.)

8.15 x 15 Tire
5 x 5 1/2 Bolt Pattern

I am looking to get rid of my current rims / hub-caps /tires and go to an original look.

Would a factory tire size be a 235/75/15?

Any more information is much appreciated.

Here is a photo of different wheel styles I found:

These were the only available options as far as rims for a 4x4?

Were the hub-caps the standard red/silver look with openings for the hubs?

^ Mister King: These are TYPE 5 wheel covers .. not hubcaps. Wheel covers cover the entire wheel, hubcaps only cover the center of the wheel.

Optional 1966/77 F100 & 1975/77 F150. Standard equipment: 1967/77 Bronco.

C6AZ-1130-G is a stainless steel wheel cover with black accents and has a red center plastic emblem.

C7TZ-1130-H is the same, except it has a red plastic ring (in lieu of the emblem) to allow the front hub to poke thru.

C6AZ-1130-G was also an option for 1966 Galaxie/LTD.

There were no front hubcaps available for any 1959/76 F100 4WD (no F100 4WD's after 1976) or 1975/77 F150 4WD / 1978 was the 1st year that F150 4WD's were available with front hubcaps.

TYPE 3 hubcaps: C7AZ-1130-A stainless with black accents (Custom Cab/Ranger) / C7TZ-1130-G painted argent with black accents (Standard Cab).

1967/72 F100 2WD's and on the rear wheels of 4WD's. C7AZ-1130-A also standard equipment on 1967 Custom/Galaxie.

I had to google quite a bit to find info on 8.15-15 tires, but I believe they correlate to a 215/75/15. For wheels just find any 15" Wimbledon White outie wheel, or the argent dent wheels and repaint them.

My books show they came like this for base models. Argent silver and black trim hubcap on rear wheels only. 8.15 is an older obsolete tire size. 7.00-15 is the period most comparable size that still can be ordered today. Optional tire size was the 6.50- 16. A 225(narrower) or 235( wider)/75/15 is a modern radial that could be used, but won't look as period as the old bias plys.

Cool photo The simpler these trucks are, the better they look! The most modern looking vehicle on the road back in '67

Let's assume I go to the local pick apart in search of some original rims, are there any indication I can look to be be sure I am purchasing something that came off of a 67-72 pickup? How universal are the original rims? The pick apart has 1000's of sets of stock rims, I just wouldn't know what to look for other than 15 inch 5x5.5 bolt pattern.

Any info is much appreciated,.

You want "outie" wheels, so called because the hubcap snaps over tabs located on the outside of the wheels center section.

Outies: Some 1965/66 F100 - 1966/96 Bronco - 1967/83 F100 - 1969/74 E200 - 1975/96 F150 - 1975/2014 E100/150.

Note: Some 1980/83 F100's have 5 lug wheels on a 4.50" bolt circle.

The previous owner told me the original rims that were on the truck were 2 part rims? I am unsure of what that means or how sure he is of that. (I asked them if he still had them and unfortunately he got rid of the original rims... along with the original gun rack, radio, etc. that I would have loved to inherit lol.)

Either way, would this photo be of an accurate "original" rim? If so, my local pickapart sells sets of 4 of those exact rims in the photo for $55.96 per set of 4.

Thanks for all the useful info so far everyone !

That is not a Ford wheel. That only has 3 hubcap nubs whereas a Ford has 4. See this:

Appreciate that link. Wish I would have known about that sooner. I am going to be making a trip to the local pickapart within the next week or so and am going to keep my eyes peeled. Would this be correct? It shows a 15x5.5 and it appears to have 4 tabs for a hub cap. Based off of that site it says my truck originally had the wheel covers not hub caps. Wheel covers would still work on the same rims? Also, not too sure how I am going to go about finding an original pair of those wheel covers, never seen them at pickapart before.

It came with either the full wheelcovers or the hubcaps on the rear just like Number Dummy said. I believe that you can find the wheelcovers at the early Bronco places like Tom's Bronco Graveyard.

Wheel covers were either optional or a dealer installed accessory. The only way to verify if they were factory installed or not...is by getting a build sheet from martiauto.com

C6AZ-1130-G .. 15" Wheel Cover-stainless steel with painted black accents with red/black center emblem / Reproduced

Optional: 1966 Galaxie/LTD / 1966/77 F100 2WD / 1975/77 F150 2WD // Standard equipment: 1967/77 Bronco...rear wheels only.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There were 3 other versions of this wheel cover for 1966 Galaxie/LTD:

Stainless steel with black painted accents with black center emblem* / Stainless steel with cone painted argent, with black painted accents, with red/black center emblem.

Stainless steel with cone painted argent, with black painted accents, with black center emblem.

Front wheel covers with 4WD have a red plastic ring instead of the emblem to allow the hub to poke thru: Optional 1966/77 F100/150 4WD // Standard equipment 1967/77 Bronco.

* I have one of these used. If you want it, come and get it---free.
