'60 F-100 Leaning

My 1960 F-100 has a 1 1/2" - 2" lean towards the passenger side. I replaced both rear shocks since the bushings were long gone and the gas charge was also history. The front passenger shock doesn't seem to have more "bounce" than the drivers side front. Would this cause the truck to lean to one side?

Probably leaf springs. Shocks mainly keep the tires on the road over bumps.

I would check leaf springs for cracks, also mounts and bushings-I would think it would be pretty obvious since it is such a drop. Maybe spring pack worn out? Are you missing any springs and are spring equal number side to side?

I have a 3/8" lean on front drivers side-may just add another leaf

keep us posted on what you find.

It has the same amount of springs on both sides. 6 in front and 7 in the back. I measured the compressed shock length in the front and both sides are the same

I talked to the previous owner and he had replaced the springs on the drivers side but not the passenger side. He gave me a set to install so will see if that makes a radiance

Sounds like what we used to do to our circle track cars... just on the wrong side!

I don't know if I need to start a new thread but is there an adjustment to take the slack out of the clutch pedal?

It wouldn't hurt to start a new thread, help with the search in the futur. However, there is a push rod adjustment that should make your life better. Do you have a shop manual? Once you have one you will not want to be without it! http://www.ebay.com/itm/FORD-1960-F100-F250-F350-Pick-Up-Heavy-Duty-Truck-Shop-Manual-60-/230942150479?hash=item35c5398f4f&vxp=mtr
This little beauty is als worth it's weight in gold! http://www.ebay.com/itm/1957-1963-FORD-TRUCK-COMPLETE-MASTER-PARTS-CATALOG-MANUAL-CD-ROM-wPART-NUMBERS-/200808072038?hash=item2ec1180366&vxp=mtr
