Hey Walt
The only spendy bit you are missing is the hood. Unmolested solid cabs would be $800 here & Doors are pretty pricey too. Replacement fiberglass fenders are $265 ea - steel are more.

$500 looks good from here.

That's a DEAL! Looks like disc brakes along with reverse eye lowering mono springs That alone is $500. This is a money making adventure! I'd say if that was in my shop I could sell it in pieces and gross $4000-$5,000 when all said and done

So spend the $1500 and go get it Kevin. You cant go wrong.
And may cost you a lot less to get it home depending what
and how you transport it. Heck you could have it all picked up
and delivered and make bucks on this and never leave home.
What a once in a life time sweet *** deal right there.

I have done way too many road trips this year. I have sooooooo many trucks here now I don't know what to do with it all! (doesn't help that surgery is pushed back ANOTHER WEEK) And that's too far for me. I don't want to go any further than Denver. No mountain trips for me. I find transport for non running vehicles is expensive, usually double of what a running vehicle costs.

I am just trying to keep with tradition. You know the FTE
Enabler Tradition? It seems most prevalent here in the
48/56 forum it does. Hope your surgery goes well. I wish
THEY would get there STG and get my next one set up
before I am to old to heal from it and enjoy a good year
or two. Before the next one.

Thanks everyone for the info! I guy I know locally has purchased this pile of 1955 F100 parts for the requested $500. He got the title transferred today without any issues. In the next few days we will take my trailer and go get it. I hope to use my proven method of setting the frame onto 4 wooden cradles and the setting the cab on the frame, then the front end, then the bed. (some assembly required, but we just use 5/16" bolts to hold things in place)

I will snap a few pics to post later.

We went out and retrieved this 1955 F100 custom Cab this morning. We put the frame onto 4 wooden supports I use, and then put the cab and the bed onto the frame. The front and rear fenders were stuffed into a Suburban alone with the doors. Another buddy used his pickup to haul back the grill and grill support. We loaded the front axle and that rear axle (which appears to be a Ford 8") onto my car trailer.

We also scored a 1979 302 and a C6 for $100 from the same dude that sold us the truck. We did not have room this trip, so we plan to come back soon for the engine/trans.
