cdmm151 - Has anybody found a fix for the dash lights that stay on? I know of 2 trucks that dash lights stay on all the time. Dome lights are not on so it should be the doors causing it.

Lights on
I have a 2012 raptor that had the backlighting came back on after the key off time out would shut it all off. Then by the time I was in the house, the cluster would come back on and run the battery dead. The dealer was all over the door switches, but it ended up being in the shift module in the console. If you leave your rig in neutral the dash lights stay on as a safety measure so you will notice it and check things. Thats what he told me anyway. Hope it helps.

cdmm151 - This is happening o n two diffent trucks. One is a 2011 F150 crew,FX4 with a 5.0 and the other is a 2012 F150 crew, FX4 with 5.0. Both do not have nav.
Otherwise, take the key out of the ignition when you exit the vehicle.
Possible issues (known to date) ...
- malfunctioning door switch(es).
- central timer module (component of BMS) turning on by itself intermittently.
- back-up camera harness short.
- faulty ignition switch.
- faulty shift lever micro-switch.
- software calibration issue with the BMS.
- faulty BCM.

Welcome to the club. Search other forums for this long unsolved problem. There are no clear fixes from Ford to date. In fact they are remaining tight lipped about even acknowledging a problem.
Best guess is a software issue where the instrument display doesn't process a power down command.
My 2013 will not have enough power to start after 5 days of sitting. And it's in a heated garage.

I had the same problem. I found on another forum that it's because of a shift interlock switch that goes bad in the shifter center console. There is a guy selling them on eBay. Much cheaper than replacing the entire center console! It fixed my problem in 30 minutes.

2013 Explorer dash lights stay on after turning off
My -13 Explorer dash lights stayed on today when I stopped for gas. They looked weird (clock wise lines where the speedometer should show). Filled up with gas, then got in and it wouldn't start. After another attempt, it did start. When I got home, I turned it off and the lights again stayed on. Both on the dashboard and on the screen (where the back up camera shows). Just blank lights on the screen. Eventually it turned off. Restarted the truck and it started fine. But when turning off, again.....the lights are different. I'm afraid of being stranded somewhere, do I need to have this looked at?
