1965 F100 Custom Cab Crew Cab
Progress on my 65 Crew Cab build. Should be on the road in about a month.
I'm happy with it so far. Posted this on another site and I guess they were not that impressed. Original paint. 390 C6 shortened 8' bed.
External rear door hinges. Crown or stage way conversion?
What do you guys think?

Looks great to me! Show some close up photos of the rear door hinges. When I did, someone was able to identify which coach house did the work.
Same(ish) color as my '64 F100 CrewCab. Keep posting progress as I am very close to tearing mine down to rebuild it back up as well.
Do I see two steering wheels being refurbished? Details please.

Thanks guys.
Took a lot of time to find good parts that were the original color. The 390 is from a 73 ford truck I bought for the disc brakes, booster, column, and C6 trans.
The engine and trans were rebuilt before I bought the donor truck. I put in new gaskets, cam, timing chain, edelbrock intake, craigslist sourced ceramic coated headers, etc. new seals in the trans and cleaned them up, added paint, and stuffed them in.
The bed was cut down from an 8' bed but needed a floor. I found another good 8' bed that was the right color, cut it down and reinstalled the complete floor including fenderwells into the old bed. Turned out nice, I think.
I need to bleed the brakes, install exhaust, bolt in the seats and it's ready to test drive.

Bed floor repair
Thanks John,
I wanted to repair the floor and replace the wheel wells all at the same time. After removing a million spot welds the new floor went right in. I then spot welded back the same areas the original spot welds were removed. Took a lot of work but , from the top, you can't tell I ever worked on the bed floor, especially since the color (and rust) matched.

More progress this last weekend. Finished up the bed floor repairs and installed the bed. Wired the tail lights (used 72 style so I had integral back up lights in the lenses. Bled the brakes. Installed the newly upholstered seats and they turned out amazing. My 75 year old dad was a big help to me this last weekend. He is the ham in the photos!
Next stop the muffler shop on February 27. So close to a test drive I can almost taste it.
