Aftermarket proportioning valve

Have a 1978 F250 4x4 with DPC, looking at using one of the reproduction brake proportioning/metering valves. Has anyone used one of these? Any issues? Just looking at the valve, which I just got from Bronco Graveyard, I'm wondering if I'll get a pressure tight seal out of the rear port that feeds the rear brakes. It looks like a inverted 1/4" flare, not a typical inverted 3/16" brake flare. Not sure my brass adapter will seal to it? Any input?

I replaced the OEM valve with an adjustable one when I did my disc brake conversion. The original has about four different fitting sizes, so I did quite a bit of plumbing to get everything to a standard size for the replacement valve. A real PITA.

I ditched the factory PV and went with an adjustable Wilwood unit for $80. Alot less headaches and more reliable than the OEM crap which is right up there as one of the worse designs ever IMO.

In my experience the "factory replacements" have extremely questionable quality, much less acurate proportioning. I used a Wilwood unit on a '65 Mustang I converted from 4 wheel drum to 4 wheel power disk at the dealership I work at. It is an easy unit to set up, you lock it and forget it.

Of course the year after I fabbed up my own bracket to install it Wilwood comes out with their own albeit at a price of around $35.

Below is the set-up on my '70. That's a brake switch on the front which can either be used or removed 9and plugged). I found it more reliable than the Flintstone mechanical switch on the brake pedal arm.
