E4OD problems on 1991 F350 7.3idi

I had posted this before but it was pretty long winded so I'll try to simplify it. My truck started to make an odd noise in any gear except park and neutral. My brother says it sounded like torque converter. In any gear except park and neutral the truck isles down really low, stalled once. I did notice some odd shifting a few times when I drove it back to his garage. The fluid smelled burnt. I'm wonderingn what the issue could be, I'm thinking torque converter but was wondering if it could be something simple like a fallen filter or flexplate or anything else.

So now everyone has to re-invent the wheel and ask or reply the same things again?

Stick to one thread: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-problems.html

Well I only really got one reply that said he had to get everything rebuilt, figured I'd simplify my post so it was easier to understand.

making multiple threads about the same exact subject will never do anyone, including yourself any good.it's more than likely against forum rules too.
if you would like another/more suggestions/opinions,simply wait a day and then reply in the same thread "does anyone else have anything further to contribute?"

And you still will eventually need to get everything rebuilt. Simple enough for you?

Really, just because you did not get the answer you wanted to hear. Sheesh!

Well, it's not about not getting the answer I wanted but I think to jump to the conclusion that I need the tranny rebuilt is silly. My original post was made after hours of plowing and no sleep. I figured I would simplify it down to the symptoms to hopefully get a simpler answer of possible problems, not a long story about someone else's transmission problems that ended up in a full rebuild. I plan on selling the truck and spending 1500 isn't worth it to me.
