2007 F250SD Instrument Bulb Replacement
I just want to post about my ordeal in replacing some burnt out bulbs in my instrument cluster.
First: I ordered what I thought was a 5 pack of bulbs. When they arrived there was only 1 bulb. So check with your vendor when you order the bulbs and make sure the price is for one or five bulbs. All this put me out another week to get the five bulbs I needed to replace.
Second:When I replaced the bulbs with the Dorman brand part # 639-012 and reinstalled everything the bulbs did not illuminate. So back to pulling the dash apart again.
Third: After investigating the new bulb socket I realized that it was not allowing a proper connection to be made so, I pulled out the new bulbs from the new sockets and placed the new bulbs in the old oem sockets after removing the burned out bulb and walah everything works as it should.
Hope this helps some of those attempting to replace those burnt out bulbs.
I can finally see the right side of my instrument cluster at night now!
